We Support Students Considering a Career in K-12 Education
Pre-Teaching Advising supports undergraduates, graduate students, post-docs, and alumni considering a career in K-12 education. We can connect you with career exploration opportunities, provide job search assistance, and support you in applying for graduate programs related to education.
Pre-Teaching Advising is part of the Specialized Advising unit within Georgia Tech’s Office of Undergraduate Education as well as part of the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) within the Office of the Provost.
NOTE: Georgia Tech Pre-Teaching is not a certification program nor a Georgia educator preparation program provider.

Undergraduates schedule appointments through Advisor Link: https://advisor.gatech.edu
Graduate students and alumni can schedule appointments by emailing Dr. Susan Belmonte at sbelmonte@gatech.edu.
Format: virtual or in-person depending on the day
Length: Different appointment reasons have different lengths of time (30 or 60 minutes). Please pick according to your needs.
Note: Pre-Teaching advisors are not academic advisors and cannot assist with schedules, permits, etc.
Drop-ins, Cancellations, and Document Reviews
Weekly virtual drop-ins are only for 10-15 minutes and are in a public virtual space. No appointment needed. There are no drop-ins during Institute holidays. Appointments made directly through Advisor Link or by email are individual and private. There are no in-person drop-in times.
