Pre-Teaching Advising

Format: virtual (Mon-Fri) as well as in-person (Tu, Wed, Fri)

Length: 30 or 60 minutes depending on your appointment reason

Note: Pre-Teaching advisors are not academic advisors and cannot assist with schedules, permits, etc.

Graduate students and alumni can schedule appointments by emailing Dr. Susan Belmonte at sbelmonte@gatech.edu.

Undergraduates make appointments through Georgia Tech’s new advising and student success system as of June 2025 called Navigate360. Download the Navigate360 student app or access the webpage here.

Undergraduates can make appointments with any academic advisor using Navigate360.

Choose “Non-Major Specific Advising” to get to pre-teaching advising.

Drop-ins are intended for questions that will not require more than 10-15 minutes and are held in a public, virtual space. No appointment needed. All meetings are virtual. There are no in-person drop-ins and no drop-ins during Institute holidays.

As of September 2025,  drop-ins are only for current Georgia Tech undergraduate students. The meeting link can be accessed via  the Navigate360 kiosk.  The meeting link will change regularly so always go in through the kiosk.
